Media Training Hamilton | Warren Weeks
World-class media training, right down the road.
Hamilton organizations have a distinct advantage over clients in Vancouver, Calgary or Halifax. I'm practically in your backyard. Based in Toronto, I'm a short drive down the QEW, which means no travel costs, no scheduling complexity and no reason to settle for anything less than Canada's most experienced media trainer.
Deep Hamilton Roots
My connection to Hamilton goes back further than most. I started my career in Hamilton, working for the Ti-Cats straight out of journalism school, and I've been delivering media training to Hamilton organizations ever since. Businesses, associations, medical and healthcare organizations, long-term care facilities…I know this community, I know its media environment and I know what Hamilton spokespeople are up against.
Every session I deliver in Hamilton is built from the ground up around your organization. No generic programs. No junior trainers. Just me, fully prepared, with your team.
Hamilton Organizations Face Real Media Pressure
Hamilton's media landscape has evolved significantly in recent years. CBC Hamilton. The Hamilton Spectator — one of Ontario's most respected regional newspapers with a long tradition of accountability journalism. A growing corps of digital outlets covering the city's rapid transformation.
Healthcare and long-term care organizations operate under intense public scrutiny. Businesses navigating Hamilton's economic evolution face media attention around development, employment and community impact. Associations representing the region's key sectors are increasingly called upon to speak to policy issues that affect the entire area.
Whatever your sector, preparation is what separates the organizations that handle media well from the ones that don't.
What a Session Looks Like
Every session begins with a thorough understanding of your organization…your issues, your industry and what your spokespeople are likely to face. From there, we develop and stress-test your key messages as a group, then put each participant through a series of simulated media interviews in print, radio and television formats, conducted by a veteran journalist playing the role of reporter.
It's as close to the real thing as you can get. Participants leave knowing exactly how reporters think, what they're looking for and how to tell their organization's story clearly and effectively under pressure.
Sessions are available in half-day and full-day formats, for groups of any size, and for individual executives requiring focused one-on-one preparation.
Virtual Sessions Also Available
For Hamilton-based organizations that prefer remote delivery, virtual sessions are available and every bit as rigorous as the in-person experience.
Let's Talk
If your organization is based in Hamilton or the surrounding region, I'd be glad to have a conversation about your media training needs and put together a proposal. No obligation, no sales pressure.
