Media Training Saskatoon | Warren Weeks

Saskatchewan's largest city deserves access to Canada's best media training. Not a watered-down version of it.

Saskatoon is a growing, sophisticated city with a media environment that punches above its weight. CBC Saskatchewan. CTV. Global. The Saskatoon StarPhoenix. A press corps that covers agriculture, energy, healthcare, Indigenous issues and community affairs with depth and persistence. When your organization is in the spotlight, your spokespeople need to be ready.

The good news: I come to you.

Over a Decade of Saskatoon Experience

I've been delivering media training to Saskatoon organizations for more than twelve years, working across the chemical industry, healthcare, the non-profit sector and community associations of all kinds. Saskatoon clients are typically deeply rooted in their communities, highly accountable to their members and stakeholders and operating in a media environment where relationships between organizations and reporters are close and long-standing.

Every session I deliver in Saskatoon is built from the ground up around your organization. No generic programs. No junior trainers. Just me, fully prepared, with your team.

Saskatoon Organizations Face Distinctive Media Pressures

Saskatchewan's economy and social fabric create a unique media environment. Chemical and resource companies navigate environmental scrutiny and regulatory coverage that can quickly attract national attention. Healthcare organizations operate under intense public accountability in a province where access to care is a persistent public issue. Non-profits and community associations are increasingly called upon to speak to policy debates that affect the entire province.

Whatever your sector, preparation is what separates the organizations that handle media well from the ones that don't. In a market this connected, a single poorly handled interview can have consequences that linger for years.

What a Session Looks Like

Every session begins with a thorough understanding of your organization. Your issues, your industry and what your spokespeople are likely to face. From there, we develop and stress-test your key messages as a group, then put each participant through a series of simulated media interviews in print, radio and television formats, conducted by a veteran journalist playing the role of reporter.

It's as close to the real thing as you can get. Participants leave knowing exactly how reporters think, what they're looking for and how to tell their organization's story clearly and effectively under pressure.

Sessions are available in half-day and full-day formats, for groups of any size, and for individual executives requiring focused one-on-one preparation.

Virtual Sessions Also Available

For Saskatoon-based organizations that prefer remote delivery, virtual sessions are available and every bit as rigorous as the in-person experience. Ideal for organizations with teams spread across Saskatchewan or operating in multiple locations.

Let's Talk

If your organization is based in Saskatoon or anywhere in Saskatchewan, I'd be glad to have a conversation about your media training needs and put together a proposal. No obligation, no sales pressure.
