Media Training London Ontario | Warren Weeks
London isn't just another market for me. It's where I started.
I went to university in London. I lived there for the better part of a decade. I worked as a journalist there, covering the stories, talking to the sources and learning firsthand how London's media environment works. When I deliver media training in London, I'm not just parachuting in from Toronto. I know this city.
The good news: I still come to you.
Deep London Roots
I've been delivering media training to London organizations for years, working with educational institutions, non-profits, manufacturers, healthcare organizations and conference audiences across the region. London clients operate in a media environment that is community-focused, relationship-driven and increasingly connected to national outlets covering southwestern Ontario.
Every session I deliver in London is built from the ground up around your organization. No generic programs. No junior trainers. Just me, fully prepared, with your team.
London Organizations Face Real Media Pressure
London's economy is more diverse than most people outside the city appreciate. Post-secondary institutions navigating governance, funding and student issues face intense scrutiny from local and provincial media. Manufacturers dealing with labour relations, environmental compliance and economic disruption are increasingly in the spotlight. Healthcare organizations operate under constant public accountability. Non-profits doing important community work are called upon to speak to policy issues that affect the entire region.
Whatever your sector, preparation is what separates the organizations that handle media well from the ones that don't. And in a city where the media community is tight-knit and long-memoried, how you handle one interview can define your organization's reputation for years.
What a Session Looks Like
Every session begins with a thorough understanding of your organization, including your issues, your industry and what your spokespeople are likely to face. From there, we develop and stress-test your key messages as a group, then put each participant through a series of simulated media interviews in print, radio and television formats, conducted by a veteran journalist playing the role of reporter.
It's as close to the real thing as you can get. Participants leave knowing exactly how reporters think, what they're looking for and how to tell their organization's story clearly and effectively under pressure.
Sessions are available in half-day and full-day formats, for groups of any size, and for individual executives requiring focused one-on-one preparation.
Virtual Sessions Also Available
For London-based organizations that prefer remote delivery, virtual sessions are available and every bit as rigorous as the in-person experience. Ideal for organizations with teams spread across southwestern Ontario.
Let's Talk
If your organization is based in London or anywhere in southwestern Ontario, I'd be glad to have a conversation about your media training needs and put together a proposal. No obligation, no sales pressure.
