Media Training Regina | Warren Weeks
Saskatchewan's capital city is where policy gets made, scrutinized and covered. Are your spokespeople ready?
Regina is the seat of Saskatchewan's provincial government, home to major Crown corporations, agricultural sector organizations and a business community that operates under consistent media scrutiny. CBC Saskatchewan. CTV. Global. The Regina Leader-Post. A press corps that covers government, policy and business with persistence and depth.
When your organization is in the spotlight, your spokespeople need to be ready.
The good news: I come to you.
Serving Regina and All of Saskatchewan
I've worked with organizations across Saskatchewan and have spoken at conferences in Regina. Regina clients operate in one of Canada's most distinctive media environments…a city where government, Crown corporations and the private sector intersect in ways that create unique communications challenges and unique media scrutiny.
Every session I deliver in Regina is built from the ground up around your organization. No generic programs. No junior trainers. Just me, fully prepared, with your team.
Regina Organizations Face Distinctive Media Pressures
As Saskatchewan's capital, Regina is where provincial policy decisions get made and where the media covers them most closely. Crown corporations and government agencies operate under intense public accountability and Access to Information scrutiny. Agricultural sector organizations navigate commodity price stories, trade policy coverage and environmental issues that attract both provincial and national media attention. The private sector operates in a tight-knit business community where reputation travels fast.
Whatever your sector, preparation is what separates the organizations that handle media well from the ones that don't.
What a Session Looks Like
Every session begins with a thorough understanding of your organization. Your issues, your industry and what your spokespeople are likely to face. From there, we develop and stress-test your key messages as a group, then put each participant through a series of simulated media interviews in print, radio and television formats, conducted by a veteran journalist playing the role of reporter.
It's as close to the real thing as you can get. Participants leave knowing exactly how reporters think, what they're looking for and how to tell their organization's story clearly and effectively under pressure.
Sessions are available in half-day and full-day formats, for groups of any size, and for individual executives requiring focused one-on-one preparation.
Virtual Sessions Also Available
For Regina-based organizations that prefer remote delivery, virtual sessions are available and every bit as rigorous as the in-person experience. Ideal for organizations with teams spread across Saskatchewan or operating in multiple locations.
Let's Talk
If your organization is based in Regina or anywhere in Saskatchewan, I'd be glad to have a conversation about your media training needs and put together a proposal. No obligation, no sales pressure.
